At FIT4MOM DC, we're lucky to be surrounded by incredible women who somehow manage to do all the things, and Emily Knapper is definitely one of them. Between a full-time job, part-time work with FIT4MOM DC, MBA classes, and raising two daughters, Emily still finds time to lace up her running shoes and show up for our community. This month we're giving you a chance to get to know Emily, the women behind everything you see out front from FIT4MOM DC.
TEAM SPOTLIGHT: Emily Knapper
FIT4MOM DC x AI 6.1.26
Here are the Basics
Emily and her husband Matt have two daughters: Lincoln (7) and Harriet (4). Originally from Niles, Michigan, in the southwest corner of the state, the Knapper crew now calls Capitol Hill home. And, Capitol Hill is so lucky to have Emily. She is the creative mind behind this year's Home Renovators' Tour graphics and the so-cute Capitol Hill Classic T-shirts Emily and her mini-mes are sporting in the pic above.
What does Emily do when she's not moming or FIT4MOM-ing
Well, Emily doesn't place a very high premium on leisure time. When she's not raising two daughters and running FIT4MOM DC's social media, Emily is busy with her full-time job in communications and marketing for a national nonprofit organization, working towards her MBA at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, or *volunteering* to do extra work designing graphics assets and t-shirts for beloved Hill events.
What do we think: cry for help? or does she just have a lot of energy?
Emily's Favorite Things:
She didn't list work, so I think she's good. It turns out that Emily is a huge Washington Spirit fan and enjoys watching all women's sports. She's a Run Club graduate herself and ran the 10K Capitol Hill Classic this year! WOOHOO 🥳!
In the quieter moments you might find Emily relaxing around a campfire or curling up with a good murder mystery to decompress and unwind from her incredibly ambitious schedule. With summer nipping at our heels we asked Emily to share some of her favorites in case anyone is looking for a good beach read or car trip listen.
Well, it is clear that Emily has very little time that isn't spoken for, and many people lined up to get access to her talents and expertise. So, we feel pretty lucky to have her on our team and in our village. Don't miss the chance to see Emily's work. Follow us on Instagram. Drop in for a group run on Capitol Hill and you might even meet her IRL!
