Do I need to pre-register for class or can I just show up?
While you can absolutely just show up, we would prefer you pre-register. By registering, you ensure you get details about where to meet us and what to expect. Need help getting signed up for class? Just email us dc@fit4mom.com.
What do I need to bring to class?
For you: a bottle of water and a good pair of sneakers. Your instructor will let you know if you should bring a yoga mat or towel for cool down or core moves. If you don't have a mat or forget it, we will have one for you to borrow.
For parent-and-me classes: you may want to bring snacks, toys, and diaper bag essentials for your little one(s). Any type of stroller is perfectly fine for our stroller and family classes. Don't panic if you realize you forgot wipes, etc. - you are going to the right place. We got you, mama!
How will I know exactly where class meets or if there was a change due to weather?
Check our locations page to get detailed information about our class locations; meeting spots; and parking.
Instructors will confirm the exact meeting place for everyone enrolled about 1 hour before class via the notification tab on our FIT4MOM app.
In case of inclement weather, outdoor class locations may change or be cancelled. Instructors will send a note to everyone enrolled in class via our FIT4MOM app to update the class location or status about 1 hour before class or as soon as the information is available.
Be sure you don't miss any important notifications and download the FIT4MOM app. We recommend that you enable push notifications or plan to check the notifications tab prior to your scheduled classes for updates.
Stroller-based programs
I just had a baby, when can I join stroller classes?
A newly postpartum birthing person can begin attending fitness classes once they are cleared by their provider to resume exercise. This is typically after your six-week postpartum appointment for vaginal births and can be later for caesarean deliveries.
Our stroller classes are designed with newly postpartum moms in mind and all of our instructors are certified in pre- and postnatal fitness and prepared to offering modifications to support your postpartum healing.
*No medical clearance necessary to join us for New Parent Meet-ups; Ask the Expert Sessions or coffee after class.
Can I attend stroller classes if I am pregnant?
Absolutely! Staying active or even starting a fitness habit during pregnancy is recommended by ACOG (the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology). All of our instructors are certified in both pre- and postnatal fitness and are ready to modify any move that doesn't feel good to you.
All participants should check in with their health care provider before begining a new exercise program.
Do I need to be a runner to attend these classes?
Absolutely not! FIT4MOM is for moms of all fitness levels. We meet for a warm up, then power walk or jog to each exercise station. Your instructor will give you a range of options so that you can chose what is right for your body that day.
Do I need a jogging or other special stroller for the workout?
No special stroller is required. In fact, parents are welcome to babywear or come to class solo.
It is worth noting that it is not safe to run with an infant in the bassinet attachment. All moms have to option to choose the pace that is right for them (i.e., walk;/jog/run). If you're coming to class with your little one in a bassinet and would like to pick up the pace, your instructor will be happy to stay with your little one.
Please refer to your stroller manufacturer’s specific guidelines. As a general guideline, jogging strollers are not indicated until after a baby that can hold their head up independently.
If you're looking for a jogging stroller our favorite is brand is Thule.
What if my baby doesn't like being in the stroller, gets fussy, needs to be feed, etc.?
Our classes are designed to keep the kids moving and engaged by incorporating songs and various props to keep them engaged. With that said, if you need to change, feed or console your baby, please do so - you will not be the only one!
Can my older children walk along or ride their bike during class?
Safety is our first priority, so we do not allow kids to be out of the stroller or baby carrier during class Stroller Strides or Stroller Barre, regardless of age. Our Family Classes are designed to accommodate kids of all ages.
How will I know if the class location has changed due to weather?
In case of inclement weather, outdoor class locations may change. Pre-enroll for classes to be emailed with last minute weather location changes or cancellations. You can also check the schedule on our website.

Can I bring kids to mom-only classes like Body Boost or Body Ignite?
Our mom-only classes like Body Boost and Body Ignite are for moms-only.
Can I attend classes if I am pregnant?
